Search for Budget Hotels
Aside from buying your plane ticket, finding the perfect hotel is the
next most important part of any trip. This task can turn out to be much
harder than one would think. Going through pages and pages of hotel
listings, reading reviews, and checking on hotel locations can easily
become overwhelming. So, what is the best way to start your search for the
perfect hotel for you vacation? There are many schools of thought on the
topic, but we would argue that a good central location is one of the most
important factors when choosing a hotel.
Sure, you can find cheaper hotels outside of the "tourist" areas, but these
cheaper hotels actually come with a hidden cost. We are not saying there
hidden fees from the hotels, but instead with the cost of transportation.
Even if you hotel is only 30 minutes away from the "scene", you could
easily end up spending tons of money driving back and forth from your hotel
to where everything is. This is especially true for families with small
children. Odds are that if you have kids you will be going back to your
hotel several times a day. So, why not get a hotel close to everything so
you don't have to spend all your money on outrageous gas prices? You will
be surprised how much money you can save in gas just by finding a hotel
close to it all.
In our opinion, it is far better to plan your hotel search around the sites
and cities you plan on visiting the most.
