Budget Hotels in New York
New York is a worldly popular destination city. People from all over the world travel to New York, often New York City, every day. The state has some of the best variety of sites ever thought possible in one small area. In this small space there are plenty of cheap hotels for New York. The state is commonly divided into two parts. Upstate and downstate; downstate is typically referred to as NYC and upstate as NY State. Many people visiting New York are there to see 'the Big Apple' - the home of pretty much everything. It's no doubt that NYC is a great city to visit, whether you want to visit Rockefeller Center at Christmas, see a Broadway play, catch a glimpse of your favorite celebrity while they grace the stage of TRL, see the Statue of Liberty, or simply attend your business meetings. Often times the aura of NYC tends to drown out the beauty the rest of the state has to offer. Upstate New York is graced with mountains, rivers, and the Great Lakes. The Catskill Mountains, the Hudson River, Adirondack Mountains, and the Great Appalachian Valley are only of few of the breathtaking adventures that await you in upstate New York.
With all this being said, it is time to start planning your trip. The first step in finding a hotel is to decide on a destination. If you seek a budget hotel you shouldn't have a problem finding one. It may be a bit more difficult to get a comfortable room at a budget price in the city itself, but they do exist. An important piece of knowledge to have, is that a hotel under US$150 is typical for a budget hotel in the city. If that is still not budget enough for you, hostels may be your last choice. If you are heading upstate you should be able to find very nice hotels and lodges nestled along a beautiful landscape for moderate to low rates. Central and Western New York, where you can find Syracuse, Buffalo, and Rochester should also allow for little searching. Many of these less visited cities will have common chain hotels with budget prices.
For suggestions, check out the following: Chelsea Savoy Hotel, NYC neighborhood: Chelsea.
